Most people come to a mortgage broker at a stressful moment: buying a first home, refinancing under pressure, or trying to get a complicated file across the line. What they want is simple: someone who will give them the straight story and actually get it done. That is the part of this job I take most seriously.

Before mortgages, I spent years in banking, trading FX and derivatives in Canada, Korea, and Singapore, so I understand how lenders think and where deals are won or lost. But I have also been the borrower. I helped run our family's hotel business across the U.S. and Canada, signing for mortgages, meeting payroll, and putting real money on the line. I know what it feels like to be the one whose name is on the loan.

That combination is the lens I bring to every file: I read your situation the way a lender does, and I weigh it the way a business owner would. It is why business owners, self-employed clients, investors, and people with complex or commercial files tend to end up at my desk. If a bank has called your file complicated, that is usually where I do my best work. First-time buyers get the same straightforward, no-pressure guidance on an easier road.

Outside of work, I enjoy golf, reading, and strategy games. I value time with my three daughters, thoughtful conversations, and the same curiosity I bring to every client situation.
